I have been fusing glass and making fused dichroic glass jewelry for several years. Each fused glass piece contains at least 3 or more layers of art glass and/or dichroic glass that is carefully cut by hand, arranged and fused in a kiln at temperatures around 1500 degrees Farenheit. Then the resulting product is "annealed", a very slow and controlled cooling process done in the kiln to strengthen the piece and reduce breakage. Many of my pieces are fired in the kiln two or three times or until I decide they are perfectly finished!
Photos cannot capture the true essence and beauty of the sparkle and "fire" in the glass piece. So if you think an item looks beautiful on this website, I can assure you it is even more beautiful in person! Check out the many jewelry items I have created over the years. Enjoy!
